Explosion proof slip ring is a relatively special kind of slip ring. In addition to the common equipment in petrochemical exploration, mining and processing industry, there will also be explosion-proof slip ring in the production and processing equipment of other dust industrial products and some powder food processing equipment. As a professional slip ring manufacturer that has been in the industry for more than 20 years, JINPAT Electronics has developed nearly 100 models of special explosion-proof slip rings for the above industries over the years. These slip rings are installed on natural gas exploration, fracturing vehicles, offshore oil drilling platforms and other civil powder dust processing electromechanical equipment.
Recently, JINPAT Electronics has designed a through-hole explosion-proof slip ring for a customer. Its model is LPT050-1020-EX. from the naming, it can be seen that this product has a through-hole diameter of 50mm, integrates 10 channels of 20A current path, and the design rated working voltage is 220VAC. The combination of 10 channels and 20A current is not among JINPAT standard slip rings, so this product still needs to be customized. This type of product may be just an ordinary conductive slip ring with the ability to transmit 10 channels of 20a current without “EX” in its name.
The tail decoration of LPT050-1020-EXEX indicates that it belongs to the list of explosion-proof slip rings, which meets the requirements of dust explosion-proof standard in Ext DA21 environment specified in GB. As a slip ring working in high dust environment, the explosion-proof grade must also be linked with the protection grade. Otherwise, a large amount of dust will invade into the slip ring, which will lead to scrapping of the slip ring and failure of the explosion-proof function. In order to achieve high explosion-proof standard and protection grade, this conductive slip ring also adopts a different structure from the standard slip ring, and its outlet end also uses PG connector that is not available in the standard slip ring.
In order to meet the explosion-proof standard for high dust places, JINPAT LPT050-1020-EX explosion-proof slip ring not only makes great efforts in optimizing the protective structure and adding PG joints, but also adopts some special materials, such as using high-temperature resistant glue, and the wire also selects high-temperature resistant slip ring. A double wall heat shrinkable tube is sleeved outside each wire of the slip ring. In addition, a high-temperature heat shrinkable pipe shall be integrally sleeved on the conductor of each group of outlet holes of the slip ring into the explosion-proof PG connector.
