In the product list of JINPAT Electronics, there are LPS separation type, LPC-T cap type, LPKS disc and LPPL gas-liquid series with through hole. The through holes of these slip rings can be used to install the drive shaft, and can also be used to transmit gas, liquid and other media. However, there are no hollow product models in the field of LPR insert slip rings, LPHF high-frequency slip rings, LPFO optical fiber slip rings and other products.
This is because of the product structure. And in practice, there is no need for through-hole. If necessary, it can be improved. Taking LPR as an example, the single current transmission capacity of this slip ring is the strongest among all small slip rings. LPR-2H with a diameter of 40mm can support 25A current transmission per channel. Its internal structure is not different from that of ordinary slip rings. Only the mold needs to be replaced to add vias. However, for LPHF high-frequency slip ring and LPFO optical fiber slip ring, it is not so simple to add a central via.
Due to the particularity of structure and transmission medium, it is difficult to add central via for LPHF high frequency slip ring and LPFO optical fiber slip ring. However, compared with the optical fiber slip ring, it is a little less difficult for the high-frequency slip ring to increase the through hole. However, to increase the through hole of the high-frequency slip ring, it still needs to do a lot of signal matching, which is no less than redeveloping a brand-new product. At present, the optical fiber slip rings on the market are coaxial solid slip rings. If you want to add vias, it is not only as simple as improving products, but even adopt different theoretical systems. Because the manufacturing of via optical fiber slip rings is too difficult. For all that reasons, there are almost no via optical fiber slip rings on the market.
For most slip ring manufacturers, the development of coaxial multi-channel optical fiber slip ring is very difficult. It is even more difficult to develop side axis optical fiber slip ring with control. For example, the existing multi-channel optical fiber slip ring uses Dowell prism internally, and its structure is not complex. It can be developed as long as there are professional instruments and talents who master the assembly process.
According to the public information, the side axis through-hole optical fiber slip ring is completely another technical route. It has optical components such as lens group and prism, which is much more complex than the coaxial type. Such a structure will not only increase the cost, but also make various coupling loss values of the optical fiber slip ring extremely difficult to match. Besides, this multi lens combined side axis optical fiber slip ring is very sensitive to vibration.
