High current slip ring on sea steel behemoth

High-current slip ring is the main product of JINPAT Electronics. Its English code is LPA, which refers to the carbon brush slip ring with a single-circuit current greater than 50A. It is mostly used in heavy machinery and equipment, because heavy equipment generally does not require high speed. In addition, the wear resistance of the carbon brush is very strong, so the service life of the slip ring equipped with it is very high, and some products can even reach decades. Superior product life characteristics make it applicable in many heavy machinery and equipment.

As an old-fashioned slip ring manufacturer, Shenzhen JINPAT Electronics has entered the field of high-current slip rings very early, and has provided over a thousand technical solutions for equipment manufacturers in related fields at home and abroad. Among the high-current slip rings developed by JINPAT Electronics, the products within 1000A still occupy the majority. Most of these products are used in land heavy machinery and equipment, such as bridge cranes and door cranes commonly found on docks. There is only one A small number of them will be used on some ships, and the large current slip rings with a single-circuit current transmission capacity exceeding 100A are basically used on marine engineering ships and other special platforms, but are rarely seen on land machinery and equipment.

At present, the high-current slip ring with the largest transmission power is the slip ring used in the high-power pod-type electric propulsion on the super luxury cruise ship. Now the maximum power pod-type electric propulsion on the market has a power of 30MW. This type of propeller can meet the propulsion requirements of a 200,000-ton super cruise ship. As a domestic manufacturer that entered the field of podded electric thruster slip rings earlier, JINPAT Electronics has only developed more than ten types of podded electric thruster slip rings, and currently has the ability to develop 15MW products.

If you want to develop a thruster slip ring with a power of up to 30MW, you can upgrade the existing product. If the 7.5MW thruster slip ring developed by JINPAT is used as a blueprint, after the structure is improved to increase the working voltage to 6600V, the Its single-channel current transmission capacity can be increased to 2000A. Of course, such 30MW thrusters are extremely rare, and most models are still within 10MW. For example, China's Xuelong No. 2 polar scientific research vessel uses two 7.5MW podded electric thrusters.

With the domestic emphasis on the marine economy, the demand for marine development equipment has also increased a lot. In recent years, China has built many new 10,000-ton special marine engineering ships, and many of them have installed pods with a power of less than 10MW. With the cooperation of side thrusters, these ships basically have the dynamic positioning capability of DP3 level. In the next period of time, the number of such sea steel giants will increase, which also means that the market demand for slip rings of pod-type electric propulsion in China will also increase.
